Bible Video: He is Risen - Summary of the Final Days of the Life of Jesus

In this seven-minute Bible video we see a summary of His final days. First, we see a glimpse of His triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Next, we see a few moments of the Last Supper where Jesus says his apostles will be scattered, and that He will not be left alone because the Father is with Him. Then we see Jesus’ suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane. We see Him ask the Father if the cup may pass from Him (His way of asking if there was any way He could avoid the suffering He would have to endure). Then, He submits His will to the will of the Father as He says, “nevertheless, Thy will be done”.

After returning to His apostles, Jesus is betrayed by Judas Iscariot – one of the most evil acts in the history of the world. Then, we see Jesus before pilate and the Pharisees who are chanting “CRUCIFY HIM!” At the same time, we see the love of His mother, who is agonizing in the crowd, among the Pharisees and Sadducees. Then Pilate denies culpability for His crucifixion. Next, we see His scourging with a whip and the crown of thorns being put on His head. After, He carries the cross and is then nailed to it and crucified. While on the cross, we see the ultimate act of forgiveness as Jesus asks the Father to forgive the soldiers who crucified Him. Then, He commends His mother into John’s care, and finally says, “Father, into Thy hands I commend my spirit” then finally “It is finished”.
After his death, we see His body in the tomb, the despair of Mary and, two days later, His appearance to Mary as our resurrected Savior. This video brings peace to the soul and warmth to the heart as we learn that the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, came down from heaven and suffered for us because of His great love for us. Let us think about Jesus often and with reverence. For as we believe in Him, repent and are baptized, it opens the gates to heaven wherein we may enter for eternity and dwell in the presence of God in the afterworld.
