During the wedding feast, they ran out of wine. Mary talked to Jesus and said, “they have no wine”. Jesus replied, “…mine hour is not yet come.”

Next, Mary told one of the servants to do what Jesus told him to do. Jesus told him to fill 6 waterpots with water and then to give some to the governor of the feast. When the water was poured, it came out as wine. As it says in John 2:11, this was the beginning of the miracles that Jesus performed.
From this video, we learn that Jesus had the power to perform miracles. This purpose of this miracle helped his mother in a difficult situation. Many of us in life have challenges and difficult situations. Miracles can happen in our lives as well if we have faith in Jesus Christ and if it is God’s will. If we need God’s help in our lives, we should pray for it. God will answer our prayers in the way that is best for our own personal growth. Sometimes, He may give us a miracle and other times he may let us struggle through a challenging situation so we can learn and grow from it. He knows what is best for us. However, sometimes He may have a miracle waiting for us, but He doesn’t give it to us because we don’t ask for it.
