Bible Video: Jesus Teaches That We Must be Born Again
Scripture: John 3:1-36
This video about Jesus Christ teaches that we must be born again. In Jerusalem, around the time of Jesus’ ministry, there were religious leaders called Pharisees. The Pharisees, in general, were against Jesus and his teachings, and it was they who eventually condemned Him to death. That being said, there was at least one Pharisee who believed in Jesus. This Pharisee was named Nicodemus. Nicodemus came to Jesus during the night. We can only assume that he came during the night so he wouldn’t be seen talking to and learning from Jesus.

Jesus taught Nicodemus and told him that “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). After Nicodemus asked how we can be born again, Jesus told him that we must be “born of water and of the Spirit”. In other words, we must be baptized and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Jesus also taught Nicodemus about the love of God. This is one of the most quoted scriptures in all of Christianity. He said, “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
