When all of the apostles were together,  Jesus appeared again and said, “Peace be unto you”. Then He approached Thomas and said, “Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing” (John 20:27). Then, after Thomas saw, he finally believed. At that point, Jesus said a profound truth that is the basis of faith. He said, “Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed” (John 20:29).

Many of us in this life choose not to believe until we have seen. We end up being like Thomas. So, what if you have a desire to believe in God, but simply don’t believe? How can you gain faith and believe more in God? The answer is simple. Act like a believer. Try doing the following for a month or two. Pray to God daily (learn how by clicking on the “pray” link). Study the scriptures daily. Try to do what God wants you to do: be honest, serve others without being asked, build them up (compliment them), and try your best not to do things you feel that are wrong. If you try the preceding for two months, it is highly likely that the spirit of God will come into your life and you will feel and know that God is real. That’s how God makes Himself known unto us, through feelings in our heart. So, is it worth a two-month challenge to come to know God? In this life, you might live 70 or eighty years (or maybe less or more). A two-month challenge to see if God really lives is really a very short period of time. Remember the scripture found in John 7:17 “If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.” Try it – it will change your life forever!
