Bible Video: The Parable of the Lost Sheep
Scripture: Luke 15:1-7
This is one of the many great parables of Jesus. The lost sheep can represent the lonely or downtrodden or any weighed down with sin. To set the stage of this parable, there were many Pharisees and Scribes who were criticizing Jesus for eating with sinners. They couldn’t believe that one who “claimed to be from God” would eat with sinners.

More About this Video: (continued from above)
Jesus put everything into the proper perspective as He masterfully proclaimed the parable of the lost sheep. He asked them, “What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?” Since shepherding was a very common profession of the day, this parable resounded in the ears of those who heard it. Everyone could relate to the shepherd who left the sheep to go after the one struggling sheep to bring it back to the fold.
